I finally feel like I am getting somewhere on this chunk of the moon. I did have a nice long visit from the frog though. But I soon sent him packing. The areas next to the halo missing floss will have beads and metallic floss. I still haven’t gotten the missing thread so I can work on Rainbow Bridge but I will soon. I am kinda on a role with this anyway and determined to finish this area!

Jack has been up to doing some cross stitch on his project. I really do think it will be very pretty when done. We searched all over Wichita when we were living there to find this for him as it had been discontinued.

Now this is the best picture! Jack and I shop at Wal Mart for groceries even though we have a couple stores here in town it is worth the short drive to save money but we do buy some items here. In the summer time we fold down the backs of the car seats and perishables are placed up close to stay cool. Well Miss Katie must inspect each and every bag to see what is in them. Jack got lucky and caught this darling picture of her. What a mess she is and we do so love her.

Well, quite by accident Jack discovered there is hardwood under the kitchen linoleum. We hope it is in good shape or at least repairable. Not only would we love hardwood in the kitchen, it would save money as one less room to tile!

I brought out my two most favorite cook books and found a different muffin recipe in the Church supper one to make. Then I tossed in my few remaining frozen berries and yum!

Sewed some on The rainbow bridge until missing floss and no extras stopped me.

Got more done on the angel. I needed a landmark for working more of the beige on the moon so I am working on her head. Can you believe her hair takes five different colors and the wreath around her head takes nine? That is about to drive me crazy. My poor pea brain gets confused with all the jumping around! LOL!

For the one who asked, yes it is cross stitch but the 18 count dark fabric does seem to make it look more like needlepoint. So there ya have all the news that is fit to print. God bless and keep you until our next visit.

Jack has not worked to much on his kitty but some. So here it is.

I am back on The rainbow bridge. I did the leaves and twigs around the word rainbow and now I am doing the word bridge. Too be honest I am ready to move onto the next page. I am getting tired of the same colors. I want to do critters and other colors please.

Here is where I stand on Blue Moon Angel. I had to work on the halo, hand and all to help me with the placement of the stitching and color on the moon.

Now does anyone need a smile? I sure do. Here is Jack and Katie when I was coming to bed the other night. Who could resist taking a picture? Not me.

My birthday today this year has been bittersweet. You see about 2 weeks ago my 84 year old Great Uncle was diagnosed with liver and pancreas cancer. He made his journey to Heaven yesterday afternoon. I give glory to God for hearing my prayers that my Great Uncle not suffer and He listened. Yes, we all miss him but what a wonderful time he is having in heaven today. Would you please pray for my Great Aunt and her two boys and their families. My cousin Brent who is our pastor, is the son of my Great uncle. Thanks and God bless you all.

I have been working on Blue Moon Angel the last few days.

Here is a close up of the moon which is what I am working on. That beige jumping all over the place about makes me cross eyed at times.

And here is Jack’s kitty. It is looking really nice now and more like a kitty every day.

And here is my Rainbow bridge piece. I will finish the twigs and leaves around the word rainbow and then I will go on to the word bridge. It really isn’t much longer until I will move on to page 2. Yippee!

And I leave you with the amazing Miss Bug. Today she is in nurse mode because Jack is having a flair up of pain and swelling in his right foot. She has been keeping a close watch on her charge. So be blessed dear ones and God keep you until we visit again.

Well I was gonna post this last night but both sets of my camera batteries needed charged. So I just figured I would do it today. I was nearly finished with the word Rainbow when I took this pic and now it is finished. I am now doing the twigs and leaves around the words.

So there is a short but sweet post for you. God bless and see ya soon.

Well I have finally started on this. Took a bit to get used to with the length of the aida.

This will give you some idea of just how long it is. Finished size is 9.07 inches wide and 35.50 inches long but mine is a bit longer to add names at the bottom. It is a design by Sue Hillis.

Have you seen one of these yet? it is a Bissell versus and it is wonderful! It is designed for hard surfaces and low pile area rugs. The funky foot on it is wonderful for corners and table or chair legs. It sure does save on the back pain for me and as a result takes a lot less time. And boy does it get things clean added to the fact I have a hose and edge tool I can use to clean baseboards or such. The best part is the low price. Jack got mine at Target for a little over 50 dollars.

So that is all for me. If you are having heat like we are drink lots of water and be careful outside. Our heat index was 112 today. God bless and see you soon.

Here it is nearly done from this afternoon. I didn’t know if I would finish it today with the headache I had. But I just did finish a few minutes ago.

I plan on pulling out Lavender & Lace’s blue Moon Angel and finishing her. And I have decided to do the Rainbow Bridge project. The first 2 comments I got suggested that one, And then on dog town Friday night they were talking about the rainbow bridge after they lost a dog. I figured I had put off doing it long enough. Time to buckle down, put the sad thoughts of our Bubba and Mr. Max aside and go for it. I might still shed some tears but that is okay.

Here are our plants in their pots. First the two on the north side of our little patio. I still can not remember what they are.

The petunias ended up on the south end of the patio with the little men, the hens and chicks and the tomato.

Of course the ornamental pepper ended up on the front porch with the bell flower.

So there is ll the news that is fit to print. God bless and talk to or visit you soon.

Well, I had planned to make this post over last weekend but life intervened. First I took a fall Saturday morning as I was sitting down to pot my last flower. I hit the back of my upper arm on the leg of the swing and the swing itself hit the back of my head. It smarted and I was sore for a few days and still have a small bruise. And I do hope none of you suffer from vertigo as it isn’t a bit of fun. Not only are you mildly to moderately dizzy, it can cause flu like symptoms which it did to me this past weekend. Oh what fun! But praise God I am so much better now so on we go!
Here is a pic I sneaked of Jack as he was working in his shop. He got the small hurricane lamp repaired and it is back in our bedroom but the other is a work in progress.

Now for the question. I would so like the input of my friends on here as to what project I should start when I finish the one. Should I do this one?

Or maybe this one?

Or this one?

I value your opinions so sing out! Now God bless and I will see and talk to you soon.

I am plugging along on this and have the moon and surrounding areas done and I am now working on the veggies on that same side on the bottom.

Jack is a very sneaky fellow! We went to Ehler’s for a couple things. Well instead of going home we ended up at my favorite greenhouse. He told me to pick out some flowers for my remaining pots as an anniversary present to me. What a guy! He picked out a couple petunias which we both love. I got an ornamental pepper plant and I can not remember what the other two are. But I really like them.

The next two pics are at the state capital by the grand staircase. Those are brass bears our hands are on.

So that is all for now. I will be visiting with you soon. God bless.

Katie was trying so hard to tuck herself under her blankie in the den. She wanted to keep her Dad company but only while napping. Believe me that look means ” For ever more would SOMEONE cover me up!”

Blankie failure
