Blessed Sunday all!

Jack is nearly done with the cross stitch on his kitty then it is on to the backstitching. Is there anyone out there who actually likes a mile of backstitching? Not me or Jack.

Finally!!!!! I finished my wrap! It has been more off working on it than on since April. I mean with cross stitching and home repairs it has taken the backseat a lot. At least I will have it for the chilly fall mornings sitting out with the Bugger.
006
And speaking of the Bugger, isn’t this a cute picture? She is snuggling with a teddy bear she found abandoned in a ditch on one of our walks. She promptly picked it up and brought him home. How could I take it away from her? So after a bath he looks good as new and she loves him!

Good day! Well while at Wal Mart a short bit back I found the perfect border for our bedroom! How do you like it? I love it.
002
And here is a surprise we found in the living room. It has sure turned out to be more work than we thought it would. We did have a big wall repair at the arch we knew about. We had wondered what the marks on the wood floor right under where this is was all about. And now we know this is where the heating stove was before they switched to central heat.

Here is the tiny progress on my shawl. Between working on the living room, trying to prepare the flower bed for the morning glories, and my allergies, not a lot is getting done!
0042
I do also have some progress on my prayer. I am getting a lot closer to being done!
0032

So that is it for me ya all.  Be blessed and I will see you soon!

At last I have finished my Ruth piece. Yea for me. I am happy to have it done! And I finished my secret project too. Still can’t show it to you but soon.

Here is the progress on my prayer. Sorry for the lower part being blurry. I didn’t do too much on it.

I am crocheting this shawl right now. It is a vintage pattern and a very easy pattern to do. I am one of those gals who loves a shawl for just a bit of warmth when I fell a bit chilly. I decided to go with off white so it will go with anything I wear.
0021
So that is my little post. See you soon! God bless.

Well, I finally literally hung up my apron for the day. I am plain beat! I made some homemade cinnamon rolls. Thank goodness the bread machine does most of the work but it still causes me a lot of pain to do it. I am happy to do it though. Jack and I will have one for a treat tonight. Quality control ya know! LOL! Mainly I made them for the three of us before Tina has to go back to the facility after church tomorrow. I also made a pasta salad for our lunch tomorrow and I will make some oven toasted Parmesan bread. There is also cucumbers for Jack and Tina fresh from our neighbor Jack’s garden. I will pass on those as I don’t care for cucumbers. Anyway, on to stitchy news. Here is my Angel. For a change of pace I am working on the moon. I am also working on our bedspread and I am crocheting an afghan for Tina in lavenders and pinks which she loves those colors.
Here is one of the pillowcases Jack has been working on. Lots of satin stitches in it. He is taking a break before doing the other one and is working on another quilt square. This time with yellow roses.
Look at that Katie girl! What a mess and what a hog to! She kept trying to take the whole love seat and made sure to give me a good kick every now and again to remind me I was taking to much room! NOT! She had more love seat than I did. What a piglet!
So before the storms roll in I will get off here. God bless and keep you all and a blessed Sunday to you.

Jack and I both love old cars! The last time we were at Wal-Mart this one was in the parking lot.
Here is a close up of one of our morning glories. These were already here when we moved here last year. I don’t think any of the ones I planted came up. My own fault as I forgot to nick the seeds and soak them for 24 hours! DUH!
Here is the wire where they live on the side of the car port. I can not wait for them to cover it more and have even more blooms. This fall, Jack is putting up new wire for them and we will add more colors of morning glories, add some moonflowers and other vines. I hope to buy some corkscrew flower vines. those are so cool!
Been crocheting a few squares for the quilt! Thought it would be fun to throw them all on the floor! Well, it was but the picking them up wasn’t nearly as much fun.
Here too is Blue Moon Angel. Not a lot of progress on her but some. My allergy eyes have been kicking up a bit. Not so good for cross stitching!
Well folks, as of the end of June we have had 39.50 inches of rain for the year. That is before the storm we had at one a.m. Saturday morning. Keep in mind that for our area normally we get 45 inches of rain for the entire year! However the ones who have really been dealt a hard blow and major flooding are of course in Iowa and Missouri where it is next to the Mississippi. So please pray for those folks and any others affected by all the rain and other disasters.

Here is Blue Moon Angel. I know it doesn’t look like I have done a lot but it is one of those projects that has a lot of color change. Makes for a pretty piece but what a lot of work!
I have also been crocheting squares for my bedspread. I really need to get cracking and get it done! LOL! Jack is working on a project but I can not show you that just now. The person it is for looks at my blog! Sorry! Now what do you think of this fabric? Most people will either hate it or love it.
It is for my bedroom curtains to replace the temporary blue ones I made. Once we repaint the bedroom blue won’t go. And since the green paint we will use has yellow undertones, we had to be careful of the green we chose. I got this in Carthage at Hobby Lobby. I love ginghams and checks since I don’t use a pattern for my curtains. Makes the cutting that much easier! The best part is I got 6 yards for twelve dollars as it was on sale! Yippee! I was disappointed though. Jack took me to Joann’s and the fabric they had was not anything I liked. The little bit I did like was flimsy and to me, poor quality. Not at all like the wonderful Joann’s in Springfield! Oh well I got what I wanted!
So that is my puny little post for now. LOL! God bless!

I have never shown you a completed crochet quilt square. So here it is. Ta da!!!! I am crocheting enough of the 2 1/2 inch squares for the larger block and then putting one together. There is just no way I am making all the blocks needed for the project and then put them together! No way that would be a gazillion squares! LOL!
Here is the progress on my Bountiful Blessings cross stitch. Lots more yummy veggies! i am going to put it sown and get blue on my Ruth project.
Here is a Lavender and Lace angel called Blue Moon Angel I want to do. I will do her on a faded blue denim aida. I used to collect L&L angels but they have gotten way to expensive for me. I did get lucky when Hobby Lobby was getting rid of their cross stitch charts. I was able to get a number of charts for eighty cents and one for two dollars.
This little pretty came in the mail a couple days ago from Sioux Sue. Isn’t it so very cute? She also sent me another wonderful magazine on Texas. Thanks hon! Huggles!
Just look at all the babies on my Hens and chicks! Me thinks they like their tub and where they are setting.
Here are my baby flowers. I threw in some cosmos and an unusual type of marigold. Not sure which of these the seedlings are or if both came up. Just got to wait and see!
I do hope this doesn’t upset anyone. I just wanted to share the lovely stone my cousin Pastor Brent and his wife Jennifer had done for Dustin. He was killed in a car accident in December of 2006.
The little thing in the upper right is something Dustin had drawn. We sure miss that boy so much. It is not unusual to be driving in town and see a young person with a thing in their back glass in loving memory of Dustin. He was a wonderful young man and cared so much for others and was a good Christian boy.
So until we meet next time, God bless. Please know you are all in my heart.
