Kathleen Marie tagged me to do this last week I think it was. So here it is finally!

Where did you meet your husband?
In Wichita Kansas. We talked for over an hour on the phone the first time. it felt as if we had known each other forever!

What was the first thing you said to your husband?After 27 years i can no more remember than the man in the moon!

Where was the first kiss? first date? Our first date we went out to eat and drove around. I gave him a little good bye peck on the cheek.

Did you have a long or short courtship/engagement?
Very short. We met in Febuary and married that June

Where did you get engaged? My apartment about a week after we met. We actually looked at rings on our second date!

Where did you get married?Miami Oklahoma

How did the reception go? We didn’t have a reception

How was the honeymoon?Never had a honeymoon!

Lots of fun this time!

Here is my cousin Pastor Brent and his gorgeous wife Jennifer. They were off on a vacation today and will be gone on their late son Dustin’s 18th birthday. Join me in praying that this will be a journey of healing for them.

The random test!

My groovy friend has given me some random questions to answer! If anything offends you, so sorry but I answered honestly as I feel! Told her I would post it tomorrow but here it is for today!

1. If you could have Mavis the Maid (She comes very highly recommended) on a consistant basis, which one household/cleaning chore would you be thrilled to get out of doing?
That would have to be cleaning the oven!

2. Tell us the truth: Have you ever broken the law? What did you do?
The worst I have done is get a ticket for being in a turn lane and NOT turning! OOPs!

3. Have you ever embarassed yourself in front of a crowd? What happened?
Yep. My panty hose gave out and almost ended up around my ankles! I managed to beat a hasty retreat to the little girls room! LOL!

4. You’ve selected a stunning new outfit to wear to an important event. Time is running short. You are rushing to get dressed and suddenly realize that said outfit absolutely DOES NOT fit. What do you do?
I would just put it away and find something else in my closet to wear!

5. Hey…Lucky You! You get to be the President of the United States for one entire week. Any changes you make will become a permanent part of American history. What are the top-three items on your to-do list?
First, I would do away with abortion. Second, I would find alternatives to oil to help cut our dependency on it. Third, I would try to find a way for everyone to have health care.

My husband list

This was taken from Theresa’s blog.

His age? 53

How tall is he? 5’10

How long did you know each other before you got together? talked on the phone a few times before we dated.

What physical features attracted you to him first? His smile and those baby blue eyes.

What color are his eyes? Blue

His hair color? Black when we met and gray now

Hair style? A close burr hair cut that I give him. Yep, I am the barber.

Normal outfit? slacks or sweats and a nice shirt.

How did you meet? On a dare, I put a personal ad in the paper. He answered it and I was very impressed with his gentleness, soft-spoken ways and kindness.

How serious is it? Very and we will be celebrating 27 years together in June.

Are you “in love”? Very much so. We are best friends.

Do your parents like him? My mom died long before I met him. My dad liked him. We would go to flea markets with dad and he always found ugly lamps and told Jack he had found just the lamp for him.

Do his parents like you? Yes his mom does. Jack’s dad abandoned his mom before Jack was born.

Do you trust him? completely.

Would you share a toothbrush with him? I love him, but that is gross!

Would he let you wear his pants? I have accidently gotten a hold of his sweats but they are too big for me.

Do you have a shirt of his that you sleep in? Yes

Do you like the way he smells? Yes

Can you picture having kids with him? Would have loved to have kids with him.

What bothers you the most about him? Feels he is not smart.

Does he have a temper? He used to now only if someone tries to hurt or take advantage of me.

Are you happy to be with him? Yes indeed!

Does he smoke or do drugs? No

Does he have any piercings? No

Any tattoos? No

Does he have any scars that you know of? Yes, on his knee from a bad fall as a child and from his gall bladder surgery.

Is he a party dude or stay at home? He is a home body like me.

Is he outgoing or shy? More shy than outgoing, but if you pick up a conversation with him he’ll show you how intellectual he is.

Does he love his mama? He loves his mama but she doesn’t talk with him.

Would he hang out with you and your friends? Yes, our friends are church family and his family, so he is very willing.

Sing? Jack and I both sing and have sung in choirs. He is a bass but can also sing baritone.

Now that we have had a laugh, here is another little meme. It is from Susie’s space
and is five things about me you might not know.

FARKLEBERRY FIVE

1. When I was little, my younger brother and I were playing in the barn. Being the graceful thing I am I slipped and landed in a cow muffin! Right on my hind end! Gross!

2. Right after my mom died when I was nine, my other brother and I were playing in my aunt’s basement. We found a couple pairs of boxing gloves and put them on and went at it. I wasn’t afraid of it hurting. My brother said with the gloves on it wouldn’t hurt a bit. Of course we all know brother’s don’t lie! Yeah, right! He hit me square in the eye and it DID too hurt! I cried and cried so much that grandma gave me a quarter too make me quit crying! I had a black eye for a week! LOL!

3. I used to work on my own car when I was able. I even changed out a transmission, did my own brake work and tuned them up myself! I even used to do body work on them and loved doing it!

4. When I worked at the Mariott in Wichita I met Travis Tritt, Lynyrd Sknyrd, Ray Charles and some other famous folks.

5. And lastly once again showing my grace and all, I once got my arm stuck between the washing machine and the wall. I was trying to retrieve a paper bag that had fallen down there! Thank goodness I wasn’t home by myself or I might have been there for hours!
